One scouting feature is Trainer Eye's & Mirabai Chanu's ambitious plan for India's 2036 Olympic podium.

India has long had its weightlifting icons, but few have achieved the international stardom and consistency of Saikhom Mirabai Chanu. A Tokyo 2020 Olympics silver medallist and icon of strength for Indian sport, Mirabai is now focused on what lies beyond her own success. In a joint effort "Coach Eye" — a cutting-edge talent identification and athlete tracking initiative — she has set her sights on something bigger: unearthing and grooming India’s next gymnastics experience for the 2036 Olympic Games.

A Champion’s Second Act

Each athlete longs for games success, but few translate that success into legacy-building. Mirabai is do just that. With the 2036 Olympics a dozen years in the future, she's entering a mentorship mode, dedicated to locating strong lifts from all over India — not Just cities but farther into the rural, where untapped talent frequently lurks.

Her work is not just about medals. It's about access. Mirabai has firsthand experience of how challenging it can be for bright teensfrom humble backgrounds to find quality coaching, facilities, or even the Basic tool With this project, she wants to bridge that gap.

Coach Eye: Technology Meets Talent

Coach Eye has a robust set of tools to offer — real-time video analysis, biomechanics monitoring, and AI-driven performance reviews. The system not only identifies strength & method but further keeps track of an athlete's growth, pointing out areas where  growth is necessary, and provides personalized training programs.

The alliance with Mirabai provides Coach Eye with a critical advantage: power to combine data-based insight with the sensibility and know-how of a world-class lifter. Together, they're not finding genius & shaping it with precision.

A Pan-India Search Begins

The campaign is already on in several states, with experiments and open trials in rural and semi-urban areas. Coaches and scouts are knocking on the doors of schools and local gymnasiums, providing opportunities to teens and girls to lift under professional eyes. From Manipur to Maharashtra, from Kerala to Kashmir — there is no corner & remote.

What sets this program apart is its focus on long-term development. Rather than searching for short-term gains, emphasis is placed on creating an ecosystem of support: good coaching, nutrition counseling, injury care, and even mental guidance. Every selected athlete is part of a ten-year journey to Olympic preparedness.

Inspiring a Generation

Mirabai has already inspired thousands with her story, but she's taking that inspiration and putting it into practice now. In her own words, "We don't need to wait for miracles. Talent is everywhere. We only need to find it and take care of it."

The Olympics of 2036 may be far away, but for the next generation of Indian weightlifters, the journey has already started. Guided by Mirabai Chanu and Coach Eye, the dream is not merely to put one more medal in India's box — but to reshape the very roots of weightlifting in the country.

The mission is well-defined, the vision is ambitious, and the lift — metaphorically and literally — has commenced.
