Malaysia Shies Away ,Pakistan Dares Islamic Bloc Push Against India

 In a dramatic diplomatic turn of events, Malaysia is said to have pulled away from Pakistan's pursuit of winning the Islamic bloc's support against India, marking a Widening Separating Beneath the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The decision highlights the evolving geopolitical dynamics in South Asia and the wider Muslim world, where countries are Putting more Importance to national interests rather than ideological sympathies.



Pakistan's Diplomatic Play

Pakistan has been striving long to get help from Muslim countries to go international on the problem of Kashmir and thwart the rising global influence of India. Islamabad has, over the years, campaigned for statements, resolutions, and discussions during OIC sessions that would condemn India's actions in Jammu & Kashmir. Its recent attempt was to spearhead a more cohesive Islamic front, perhaps through an alternative forum or a revived OIC resolution that would openly criticize India.


But this pressure has again been countered, not only by old Gulf allies like the UAE and Saudi Arabia, but even from countries like Malaysia, which had Earlier Adopted a more Recognizing sorrow into the Pakistani stance over Kashmir.


Malaysia's Changing Stance

Malaysia, led by its then-Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, was one of the few countries that publicly rebuked India on Kashmir following the scrapping of Article 370 in 2019. As a result of New Delhi's limitations on the import of Malaysian palm oil, the closeness between India and Malaysia suffered.


Since then, Malaysia's political leadership has changed. Under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the country seems to be pursuing a more balanced foreign policy, emphasizing trade, regional cooperation, and economic recovery from COVID.


Malaysia's refusal to support Pakistan's recent Islamic bloc campaign is meaning of a strategic realignment — one that is in favor of non-alignment and pragmatism over ideological showdown.



OIC Fatigue and India's Influence

The efficacy of OIC has mostly been in uncertainty because of internal divisions, diverse national interests, and lack of force enforcement mechanisms. By highlighting development cooperation, technological collaborations, and counterterrorism collaboration, India has been able to rewrite its global perception — from that of a regional opponent to a global friend.


Malaysia's decision to reject the Pakistani proposal is a sign of India's growing geopolitical influence rather than just a diplomatic win.
